Batting first we put up a total of 78 for 4 in 12 overs. With 79 to win, TIBCO started agreesively shattering the confidence of Team Aftek. TIBCO put up 65 runs in 8 overs by losing only 3 wickets…. . Team Aftek bounced back and was very much in the game during Nitin Chiraniya’s 9th over. (sending 4 batsman to the pavilion in this over!, 1 run out by Sandip and 3 wickets!!!)…….At the end of 9th over…….TIBCO were 66 for 7……(18 balls to go, 13 runs to win, 3 wickets in hand……….appeared to be an easy equation for TIBCO……but Team Aftek kept their head cool even under tremendous pressure, temp around 37 degrees………..) Good bowling by Rahul Malani and Mahentesh in 10th and 11th over, restricted TIBCO to 73 for 8 at the end of 11th over. (6 balls, 6 runs, 2 wickets for TIBCO!)……..12th over by Rahul Desai…….conceding only 1 run and taking last 2 wickets in 5 deliveries put up the drums, whistles………in non-stop mode for the champs………Team Aftek!!!
Nitin Chiraniya declared as “Man of the match” and “Best Bowler of the tournament” while Yogesh Satpute declared as “Best Captain of the tournament”.
